Hi, I'm Jocelyn or Joss, and I'm the crochet and knitwear designer behind the Sweet Beanies Boutique Brand. Here's a little bit about how Sweet Beanies came about...
I first learned how to crochet when I was probably about 12 years old - my Mom was making a beautiful 90's style Granny Square blanket...and I wanted to help! She showed me how to crochet a single granny square and from that point on I was hooked! (pun intended lol)
Crocheting became a hobby I took with me all through my teenage years and into college - making blankets for my roommates and anyone who wanted one. After graduating as an Art Major from Rutgers (where I actually studied Printmaking) I found myself drawn to the online fiber art community. With the help of YouTube and Ravelry, I taught myself how to dye yarn & knit.
I started knitting gifts for everyone and every occasion!
It was after designing and knitting a little cupcake hat for a friend's baby shower, I started thinking about an entire line of little hats that were pastel-colored and "sweet looking" -- Sweet Beanies soon became my Etsy side-project while raising my little ones.
As years have passed, my clients and Sweet Beanies online following has grown! I currently operate Sweet Beanies Boutique full-time, continuing to write patterns, knit and crochet custom orders and NEW this year, selling Sweet Beanies at local markets and boutiques along the Jersey Shore.

Sweet Beanies Patterns
Sweet Beanies exclusive designs are now available for you to knit and crochet your very own hat! They are written and designed to fit every size noggin' from newborn to adults. All of the sizing and measurements are included.
Each pattern is easy to read and is colorfully written!
All patterns include yarn colors and materials needed. There are helpful charts along with detailed descriptions and images to show how to work specialty stitches.
